The Main Street Trolley
A Great Way to Get Around Downtown Memphis!

The Main Street Trolley in downtown Memphis is a heritage streetcar system operated by MATA - the Memphis Area Transit Authority.

Built in 1993 using vintage trolley cars, the system shuttles visitors and locals through a downtown network that helps keep downtown Memphis attractive for visitors and residents alike.

At this time, the heritage trolley cars operate over the Main Street route with 13 stops.  Rubber tire trolleys operate on the River Front and Madison Avenue routes.  (Heritage trolleys will be restored to the latter two routes as soon as rebuilt cars are available.)
